Horse chestnut extracts containing aescin, a complex of saponins, have been shown in numerous clinical trials to help support the normal integrity of the vascular system and connective tissue. Planetary Herbals Horse Chestnut Vein Strength combines an extract of horse chestnut, standardized to 20% aescin,  with other herbs used to support the vascular system, including witch hazel, butcher's broom and ginkgo.
