Frontier Co-op Bulk Organic Beet Powder is popular as a boost to smoothies and other foods and is also used to add its natural red color to food. It's made from the red, fleshy root portion of the beet plant and has the familiar beet flavor profile. One pound of beet powder is approximately equivalent to eight to nine pounds of fresh beets.

Suggested use
Use approximately 1/3 cup water to re-hydrate 2 Tablespoons of product. Re-hydration is virtually instantaneous in hot or boiling water.
Mix into smoothies, applesauce and tomato sauce. Use for coloring in red velvet cupcakes. One pound of beet powder re-hydrates to 5 lbs., which is equivalent to 8-9 lbs. of fresh, unprepared beets.
