Vigo Red Beans and Rice is an authentic version of New Orleans classic. Enjoy as a side dish, or cook together with sliced smoked sausage. All of our rice products are completely seasoned and easy to prepare. They are low in fat and high in taste. Nutritious and delicious. Vigo rice products are the answer to todays health conscious consumers who have little time to prepare meals. All can be prepared in a single pot and in less than 25 minutes. Directions
Stove Top Instructions
- In a large saucepan with tight fitting lid, bring 3? cups (28 oz) of water to a boil.
- Add 1 Tbsp of butter or margarine (optional), then one package of Vigo Red Beans & Rice, stirring while boiling for one minute.
- Cover saucepan tightly. Reduce heat to simmer, cook for 20-25 minutes. Fluff and serve.
This product makes its own gravy. For drier rice, use 3 & 1/4 cups of water.
