• Vitamin C is an essential water-soluble vitamin that the body cannot make or store, so it is important that an adequate amount is consumed daily through diet.

Each 1.5g dose contains:

Calcium Ascorbate 1500mg

equiv. Ascorbic Acid 1350mg

Directions:
 
Adults take 1.5g (approx. 1/3 metric teaspoon) and children 2 to 12 years take 0.75g (approx. 1/8 metric teaspoon) once daily in water or juice or as recommended by a healthcare practitioner. Safe during pregnancy and lactation.
 

CAUTIONS AND CONTRAINDICATIONS:

Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) intakes exceeding 2-3g/day may produce gastrointestinal symptoms in some people. For those who have had kidney stones, amounts greater than 1000mg daily may increase the risk of kidney stone recurrence. Vitamin supplements should not replace a balanced diet. If symptoms persist, consult a healthcare practitioner. Not to be used in children under two years of age.

POSSIBLE DRUG INTERACTIONS:

Cancer treatment medication, aluminium, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), oestrogens (esp. with contraceptives or hormone replacement therapy), antipsychotic medication, cholesterol-lowering drugs (statins), calcium ion influx inhibitors (high blood pressure medication), barbiturates (anxiolytics), HIV medication and anticoagulants (warfarin).
