Origin - USA Mentha piperita or peppermint, is a popular hybrid mint, a cross between water mint and spearmint. Originally from Europe and the Middle East, Peppermint is now widepsread in cultivation throughout the world.
The Peppermint Plant - The leaves of Peppermint are distinctly stalked and grow about 2 inches or more in length and 3/4 to 1 1/2 inches broad.. The plant's characteristic fragrance comes from the volatile oil present in all its parts.
Cooling Flavor - Cool, crisp ad refreshing infusion with a spicy menthol aroma. Its is often used as a flavoring in tea, ice cream and various confectionery.
Refreshing Brew - Caffeine free peppermint is refreshing and uplifting any time of day. Enjoy in the evenings as a soothing way to relax and wind down.
Suggested Use
Steep one level teaspoon of the leaf in twelve ounces water at 175°F. Steep for four minutes.
