Frontier Co-op Organic Orange Peel Granules (Citrus sinensis) are obtained from fresh oranges belonging to the Rutaceae family, which is a group of sweet oranges that includes navel oranges and blood oranges. The highest concentration of oils in a sweet orange is found in the peel, which is why this product delivers an exceptionally strong flavor.

Sweet orange peels are known for their intense aroma/fragrance that's delivered by volatiles such as limonene. The peels provide a citrusy, sweet scent, making them perfect for perfume and many foods. Our Orange Peel Granules add a tangy, sharp taste with touches of pomegranate and raspberry-like flavors. They add a slightly bitter touch to any food while delivering a fresh, orange zest that's perfect for marinades, rubs, homemade creams, and sweet treats.
