"Groat" is an old Scottish word from hundreds of years ago that refers to cereal made from whole hull-less oats. Cooking Instructions
For four hearty servings, bring 1 cup Bob's Red Mill Oat Groats, 3 cups water and ¼ tsp salt to a boil. Cover, turn heat down and simmer for 50 to 60 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand for 10 minutes. Topped with brown sugar, cinnamon and a bit of butter, it makes a delicious breakfast cereal. Garnish with your favorite seasonings, vegetables and/or meats for a fantastic pilaf
